Course Description
HIPAA mandates HIPAA training for those required to comply. All members of the workforce (including employees, volunteers, trainees, and others under the control of the organization) must be trained on HIPAA privacy policies and procedures.
Although there are no formal federal or state standards for HIPAA training, having a strong HIPAA training program in place can help ensure compliance with the training requirement.
The clearer and more thorough the course, the stronger your level of protection. If you can spot a potential HIPAA ahead of time, you can potentially mitigate the risk of disastrous enforcement action against your organization – and as importantly, keep your job.
EVERY EMPLOYEE MUST PROTECT THE PRIVACY AND SECURITY OF PROTECTED HEALTH INFORMATION.
This course trains you to:
Understand your HIPAA obligations, and Understand the consequences of non-compliance
