Guest Blogging Guidelines

Instructions for Guest Bloggers:

  • Craft a fresh article with relevant and practical takeaways. The article must be original and have not been published elsewhere. Check the Cohen Healthcare Law Blog for other stories on the same topic and make sure that your story tells readers something new.
  • Give credit. Check your facts and quotations. Cite the original sources (not the source that quoted the original source.)
  • Hyperlink specific, important keywords or jargon on the article (e.g. Business and Professions Code §650.01)
  • Create an engaging introduction specific to your article.
  • Write just long enough to engage and enrich readers. Our content in average is no less than 2000 words
  • Please include industry specific keywords in your article. This includes the following but not limited to:
    • Physician
    • Medical doctor
    • Telemedicine
    • Digital health
    • Medical spa
    • Dietary supplement
    • Cosmetics
    • FDA/FTC
  • Disclose any relationship/partnership you have with links or sources in article. (Limit your use of these to one or two per article. We only allow links to articles and blogs that illustrate a point in your story.)
  • Do check your article for plagiarism. There are plenty on the web, and here are some that you can use:
  • Avoid self-promotion in the article. Your author bio is a good place to do that. See below
  • Write a short author bio to promote yourself.
  • Write a short 160-character description for your article
